This is done to protect generators, transformers, and bus bars. Securing these types of equipment in-turn ensure the reliability of the network. The Gulf countries were representing 148 GW of the power generating capacity of the MENA region a couple of years back and the number is still ticking. These countries are currently facing a drastic increase in population and urbanization is at its peak. There are ambitious events lined-up up to 2022 in this region. All these factors are stressing electrical network laid across the boundaries. Managing and growing network in this region is challenging due to environmental and geopolitical conditions. ![]()
